Research on three-dimensional modeling of strata block based on radial basis function

Abstract: Based on a comprehensive study of existing data of hydropower projects and the features of radial basis function (RBF) interpolation, a model for three-dimensional strata block via interpolation of RBF is built. During the process of blocked interpolation, a weight function in order to keep the continuity at the conjunction of two blocks is adopted. With the formation of the data for each layer, merging these data between layers and adding fault information, a three-dimensional strata model is obtained finally. Taking Xiaowan Hydropower Project for example, a corresponding model through the method of blocked interpolation of RBF is built; and access to any section is provided. Finally, the correctness and feasibility of grid blocked strata modelling are verified.
