Back analysis of displacements in rock for Fenggang Tunnel of East River -Shenzhen Water Supply Reconstructing Project

Abstract: The back analysis of displacements for Fenggong Tunnel of the East River-Shenzhen Water Supply Reconstructing Project is carried out. A new method of using the soften yielded elements in the finite element method simulating the fractured and flexible range by the excavation is discussed. The analysis results of the tunnel by this new mothod are consistent with the measured values.
