Numerical simulation of infiltration in unsaturated soil

Abstract: Infiltration induces the change of pore water pressure in soils, which is one of the most important factors that affect the behavior of unsaturated soils. So, it is of great significance to analyze and simulate the process of unsaturated seepage correctly. By studying on one-dimensional and two-dimensional rain infiltration problems respectively, the movement of wetting front,water table and the change of distribution of pore water pressure are shown. It represents a straighter and more perspicuous view of infiltration.
