Treatment of pile foundation accident with replacement method and rigid pile composite foundation

Abstract: An economical and reasonable treatment is proposed through analyzing a pile foundation accident. In the treatment the piles in accident are reused and the soft soil around the piles is replaced with sand and gravel mixture. The piles and the sand-gravel cushion are fit together to be a composite foundation with rigid piles, which can improve the bearing capacity of the foundation effectively and decrease the building’s settlement.
