Application of advanced prediction and forecast in Bijiashan Tunnel construction

Abstract: As geologic condition is complex, it is unavoidable to encounter with some geologic hazards such as karst water gushing, rockburst, surrounding rock high deformation or collapse, prediction and forecast technique as the further realization and supplement of tunnel prospect is important to subtract and prevent hazard. The thesis cites Bijiashan Tunnel, as geologic term is complicated in the tunnel, various advanced prediction and forecast methods, which include engineering geology and geophysics technique , geology observation and analysis and equipment test, are used to forecast the geologic information in tunnel facing frontage; the forecast results are successful and guide the tunnel construction safety effectively.
