3D numerical reasearch on bridge-subgrade transition

Abstract: Based on the construction form of transition zone and the longitudinal and transverse stresses measured from the DK266+521 bridge-subgrade transition in Qin-Shen passenger special line, the longitudinal, transverse and in-depth settlements of track transition under traveling load are analyzed by finite-difference program FLAC3D, and the settlement with different factors such as format, material stiffness, and dimension is also studied. The results show that: the engineering effect of track transition in trapezium form is better than in inverse trapezium form; the graded broken stone should be intensive enough; the size of trapezium has little effect on settlement.
