Structural design optimization when using pile/wall retaining system for excavation of a deep foundation pit

Abstract: Considering the existing designing defects of the pile/wall retaining system, a new method of structural design optimization is put forward. After determining the decision variables, constraint conditions, objective function, optimization algorithm and the computer programming , the structural optimization about decision variables is successfully carried out.
