Research on application of ground penetrating radar to detecting and identifying parameters of faults

Abstract: In underground space, the ground penetrating radar can be used to determine position and strike of a fault by probing in horizontal direction. Also this method may find dip, hade and throw of a fault by probing in vertical direction. However, it can not be used to describe features of fillings in fault plane in detail. That is, finding some parameters of faults accurately has geological and engineering values to excavation and maintenance of underground engineering.
