An iterative algorithm of inverse isoparametric mapping for hexahedral elements

Abstract: An iteration method of inverse isoparametric mapping for hexahedral elements is presented; it doesn’t need to solve high order equations and avoids nonconvergence for poor initial points. By this method the local coordinates can be acquired quickly by simple iteration.
