Analysis of deformation of geocell reinforced mat under plane strain condition

Abstract: The geocell reinforced mat on soft clay foundation can be simplified to be a kind of elastic board. Generally, the deformation problem of the board on elastic foundations can be calculated on Winkler's hypothesis. Here, the horizontal resistance is not considered. A biparametric model is put forward to calculate the deformation of the board considering the effect of horizontal resistance. And this model is put to use in practice.
