Test research on strength and microstructure of stabilized soil contained organic matter

Abstract: Unconfined compressive strength tests have been done to analyze the influence of the content of organic matter, cement and gypsum on the strength development of cement stabilized soil and XGL2005 stabilized soil respectively. The results indicated that the strength of XGL2005 stabilized soil is higher than that of cement stabilized soil; and the strength increasing ratio of the latter is larger than the former. Combining the strength tests and the SEM tests, study had been done on the corresponding relationship between the strength development and the microstructure variation of XGL2005 stabilized soil.
