Abstract: It is necessary to consider the bearing capacity and displacement of the silt with 76~82% water content, when power transmission towers are contucted. Fall scale experiments have been carried out for the above reasons. The results of the experiments have shown that the large plate foundation method for the tower is the most efficient safety economic and easy to be constructed. The foundation is stable and the settlement is uniform.
