A new experimental method of soil microstructure changing process

Abstract: A new optical image measurement method of soil and rock microstructure is presented. the soil sample can be measured by general triaxial experiment and optical image measurement at the same time. This method can obtain clear image array of soil microstructure of the same soil sample under different loads; it can be used both in quantitative analysis of soil microstructure change and in measurement of soil micro-displacement field under different loads.
