Pole system finite element analysis for frame foundation beam with prestressed anchor-cable used in reinforced slopes

Abstract: A method, using pole system FEM and considering the interaction between the foundation beam and the rock and soils, is proposed to calculate the frame foundation beam with prestressed anchor-cable used in reinforced slopes. Based on the linear elastic Winkler model, the FEM model of the frame foundation beam is analyzed in detail by taking the structural bending and torsion deformation into account respectively. An engineering case is calculated using the method; and the comparison between the computing data and the testing data in situ proves the method is feasible.
