A planar simplified method for three-dimension cement-soil mixing piles composite foundation with FEM numerical analysis

Abstract: The cement-soil mixing piles are widely used in expressway engineerings, so it is urgent that the behavior of cement-soil mixing piles composite foundation is deeply comprehended. And the FEM numerical analysis is an important method. The three-dimension FEM easily leads to the big scale matrix, long calculation time and bad convergence; so the planar simplified method is necessary. During simplification, the transformation of parameters is the key problem. The paper brings forward a parameter transformation method by characteristics of the composite foundation and theoretical analysis. Finally, the method is validated by the observed data of Lian-Yan Expressway.
