Analysis of mineral composition and chemical components of expansive soil in North Hubei

Abstract: Firstly, through XRD method, the mineral composition and the contents of different compositions of expansive soil in North Hubei are analyzed by diffraction strength and half depth-width quantitatively. Then through EDX method, the chemical components of expansive soil in North Hubei are measured and analyzed. Finally, the phenomenon of subcutaneous nodes is expounded. The research results have great significance to evaluate the deliquescent character of cleaving stone in expansive soil and disclose the characters and strength formation mechanism of expansive soil and modified expansive soil. We hope to make some theoretical basis for the future study and use of expansive soil.
