Reconstruction of 3D stratigraphic model for fluvial erosion and aggrading action

Abstract: Multi-DEM approach, which is based on borehole data, is flexible, speediness and effective for sedimentary formation; but it is not suited for stratigraphic system controlled by fluvial erosion and aggrading action. To solve this problem, a significant improvement over the previous workflow is presented. Considering fluvial erosion action, interpolation and adjusting of horizon elevations were done two times; so it is natural and reasonable to the pinching of strata around boreholes. The effectiveness and flexibility of the approach are proved by a case study.
