Reliability index analysis of slope stability based on Spencer's method

Abstract: In probabilistic slope stability analysis, the correction factor for the safety factor from Spencer's procedure and the theory of the soil properties random field have not been investigated fully. First, since the value of the correction factor is uncertain; it was modeled by the probability distribution shown in this paper. On the other hand, the theory of local average random field is applied to calculate the reliability index. Based on the above, an improved method is proposed to search for the reliability index of slope stability.
