Numerical simulation of rational protective pillar of fault

Abstract: Based on the geological and mining condition of a certain coal mine, the two-dimensional finite element model is established by ANSYS, then the rational protective pillar of fault is numerically simulated.The influence of coal and fault in front of working face is also simulated by exploitation under different protective pillars. Through analyzing the abutment pressure of upper floor of coal layer is simulated; and the rational protective pillar is gained. Scientific basis is provided for practical exploitation.
