Influence of stress path on consolidated undrained shear strength of loess

Abstract: A series of consolidated un-drained triaxial tests with equal consolidation ratio and equal shear are done for undisturbed loess Q3 samples from Longxi region of Gan-Su province. The total stress method is used in study. The test results indicate that the stress path has certain influence on the loess shear strength when loess has some different properties in different directions. The destroy points of the stress path tests, together with those of regular triaxial tests, distribute in a strip of area.
