Experimental research on soil-water characteristic curve of gassy sand of Hangzhou Bay

Abstract: An experimental research is done on shallow gassy sand under different confining pressures with GDS triaxial system’s 4D stress path module. The results show that there is a remarkable influence on form of SWCC considering different confining pressures and water storage capacity of unsaturated sand declines gradually with infliction and accretion of confining pressure. Finally, pressure of shallow gas reservoir with SWCC is a analyzed and forecast, and the forecasted result is higher if SWCC is used without confining pressure.
