Plastic limit analysis of slope stability using finite element

Abstract: The theory and method of the plastic limit analysis have been introduced systematically; by using the finite element methods and linear programming, the lower limit method can evaluate the bearing capacity and the safety factor of the rock-soil slope .The example shows the correctness and the high precision of this method; meanwhile, its difficulty has been analyzed.
