Study of static-load testing of pile with groups of bolts

Abstract: This study make use of the wholly grouted groups of bolts for static-load testing of piles instead of the counter-force piles, which is not only technically simple and convenient for construction, but also short in the period of project and economical cost of construction. Based on the mechanical analysis and the in-situ observations, the forcing and displacement characteristics of the bolts are obtained so as to provide the theoretical basis for design and calculation of this type of bolts.
