Abstract: When a railway or highway tunnel runes through a carbonate area with high groundwater table, the groundwater gushing out is often drained in a long period. The drained groundwater will accelerate the course of hydro-chemical dissolution course of joints and surrounding rock, which will cause the evolution of permeability of surrounding rock mass. To illustrate the course, a hydro-chemical dynamic method is adopted: two parallel boards are adopted to simulate the joints, and PWP equation to simulate the hydro-soluble mechanism. According to the evolution of joints width, the evolution equation of permeability is obtained so as to provide referenced data for the design of tunnel drainage facilities and lining.

Key words: karst tunnel, drainage of groundwater, evolution of permeability, hydro-chemical dynamic method
