General shear strength and position of geotechnical slip surface

Abstract: A general shear strength formula of geotechnical slip surface and a general relation among failure principal stresses and a general relation between failure surface position and strength criterion under plane strain condition are derived theoretically. It provides theoretical basis for determining geotechnical slip surface and has a guiding significance for studying geotechnical strength criterion.
