Abstract:

Three-dimensional finite element coupling numerical model is used to simulate the bearing behavior of pile foundation from low-cap to high-cap with fluid scour; and a reasonable simulation is drawn. The simulation has some reference value for the problems of fluid scour and numerical simulations of excavation about pile-soil interaction. Combining an engineering example, it is found that the calculation about the effect of scour on the pile foundation is inaccurate, if it just be considered simply as high-cap. At last, the variation law under different conditions are analyzed by changing the contact element and soil element stiffness. The results show that the rebound effect by the fluid scour couldn’t be neglected during the engineering calculation.
