The Generalized Equation of Consolidation Theory and Its Application
Yuan Jian-xin
. 1979, 1 (1):  21-31.
Abstract ( 1508 )   PDF (567KB) ( 299 )
This paper presents a generalized equation of the consolidation theory ,which is applicable to the arbitrary rheological models .The unknown constants of the equation can be determined through the experimental data by semi-analytical and semi-empirical methods .Thus,a new method for settlement calculation is provided

The Interaction Between Confining Rock and Lining in The Viscoelastic-Plastic Rock Media
Zhu Wei-shen
. 1979, 1 (1):  32-53.
Abstract ( 2287 )   PDF (950KB) ( 292 )
This Paper gives an analytical solution of the interaction between confining rock and lining in viscoelastic-plastic rock media for the axia11y symmetrical case ,The complex conditions due to long-term plastic limitation and existence of the deteriorated plastic region are specially considered , It indicates that loading on lining relates to range of plastic region, lining time and a series of physical , mechanical, geometrical factors concerning confining rock and lining , The loading on lining can be determined quantitatively, and the most reasonable lining time is derived. Several calculation examples are given herein .

The Mechanical. Behaviors and Analog Analytical Method of Joints and Weak Intercalations in Rock Mass
Ge Xiu-run
. 1979, 1 (1):  54-75.
Abstract ( 1054 )   PDF (1140KB) ( 358 )
In this paper, the mechanical behaviors of rock joints and internationals etc. are described. According to the filed results of the shear tests, several basic types of shear displacement are discussed and classified。 based on the nonlinear properties of these weak plants ,the analytical models and methods suggested in this paper, the influence of normal stress on the shear deformation may be considered .It also can be applied to the complicated conditions of loading-unloading-reloadings. The non-linear and the problems of the weak plane’s reclosing after opening can be handled simultaneously. The same analytical method is also acceptable to the shear deformation properties of various types only by choosing different parameters. Wish this analytical method, analogic calculations for the in-situ weak-plane shear tests are made and results are well checked by curves .This method has been used in some practical engineering problems .

In Situ Study on Stress in Rock Mass

. 1979, 1 (1):  76-90.
Abstract ( 1971 )   PDF (1037KB) ( 356 )
The Significance of the rock stress measurements for studying state of stress in the crust is elucidated in this paper .A brief introduction on the principles and methods of calculating the rock stress by measuring the deformations of the bore-holes by means of the overcoring technique is given .Generally the error is estimated to be about 10% by the laboratory checking methods .Form the practical examples it is summed up for some laws of the stress distribution within 200 meters of the shallow crust: from the viewpoint of the rock-mass strength and energy accumulation, the relationship between the major principal stress and the elastic modules of the rock is shown in diagrams, and its direction is closed related to the topographical conditions .The practical examples reveal the measurement of rock stress is significant to the ground surface and underground engineering projects .

The Elastoplastic Analysis of high pressure Cylinder and Autofrettage Test under 12 Kb
Wu Mina-ba
. 1979, 1 (1):  91-101.
Abstract ( 1468 )   PDF (625KB) ( 272 )
This paper systematically introduces the elastoplastic analysis and autofrettage method of the pressure nder .It describes in detail the 12,100kg/cm2 hydraulic autofrettage test of a cylinder with its outside diameter 240 mm ,inside diameter 40-82 mm, and the height 362 mm. A cross –hole with diameter 4 mm is drilled ,then 9,925 kg/cm2 cyclic hydraulic pressure is applied .The result of the test is an expectant success .The behavior of the cylinder is satisfactory in its later usage . Conclusions are made as follows: 1. Using the hydraulic autofrettage technique ,the ultimate fatigue strength of the triaxial chamber cylinder ,which has the changeable cross section and is made by the super strengthened steel 37SiMnCrNiMoV,can be increased . 2. The hydraulic autofrettage technique can improve stress concentration of the cross-bore of the high pressure vessels.
