BLASTING AND ITS MECHANICAL EFFECTS IN SOIL AND ROCK MEDIA
Zhu Rui-geng
. 1979, 1 (2):  39-58.
Abstract ( 2281 )   PDF (1183KB) ( 366 )
In this paper ,the following items are diseased evaluated and numerically related ;theory of blasting in soil and media .the classification and criteria of classification of soil and under dynamic loading ,the characteristics and the affecting zones of stress wave propagation and their relationship with properties of soil and rock ,and the failure zones resulted from contained blasting etc. Problems related to the effect of carity-ratio on stress –wave distribution characteristics along the charge axis under open-hole blasting and the major principal stress ,positive –phase duration ,wave length for open and clogged-hole blasting are preliminarily investigated.

The Mechanical. Behaviors and Analog Analytical Method of Joints and Weak Intercalations in Rock Mass (Continued)
Ge Xiu –run
. 1979, 1 (2):  59-72.
Abstract ( 958 )   PDF (739KB) ( 274 )
In this paper, the mechanical behaviors of rock joints and internationals etc. are described. According to the filed results of the shear tests, several basic types of shear displacement are discussed and classified。 based on the nonlinear properties of these weak plants ,the analytical models and methods suggested in this paper, the influence of normal stress on the shear deformation may be considered .It also can be applied to the complicated conditions of loading-unloading-reloadings. The non-linear and the problems of the weak plane’s reclosing after opening can be handled simultaneously. The same analytical method is also acceptable to the shear deformation properties of various types only by choosing different parameters. Wish this analytical method, analogic calculations for the in-situ weak-plane shear tests are made and results are well checked by curves .This method has been used in some practical engineering problems .

CYLINDRICAL WAVE PROPAGATION IN LAYERED ROCK MASS
Wang Jing-tao
. 1979, 1 (2):  73-80.
Abstract ( 2031 )   PDF (377KB) ( 305 )
We applied the theory of interacting continua in dynamics of composite materials to study the problem of cylindrical wave propagation in layered rock mass .A set of differential equations has been derived to determine displacements and stresses in Each layer and to describe the geometrical dispersion of cylindrical wave propagation in layered rock mass .The corresponding frequency relation has been obtained .

THE EXPERIMENTAL PRINCIPLES AND APPLICATION OF THE MULTI –FORCE SYSTEM TORSION PLASTOMETER
Li Zuo - q i n
. 1979, 1 (2):  81-94.
Abstract ( 1442 )   PDF (745KB) ( 306 )
This paper presents the principles of the experimental study by the torsional plastometer with the multi-force systems (i .e .the case of axial compression under torsion and hydrostatic pressure ).Stress analyses of the pure shear tests and the three –dimensional stress –state tests are made .A simple and accurate testing method is suggested for studying the effect of the intermediate principal stress level on the strength and the stress –strain relationship of the soil .At the end ,the extensive uses of this apparatus are given .

ANALYSIS ON TORSIONAL RHEOLOGY TEST OF ROCK
Liu Xiong
. 1979, 1 (2):  95-100.
Abstract ( 911 )   PDF (803KB) ( 298 )
The theoretical and engineering significance for studying the rheological properties of rock (or rock mass)are briefly dealt with .The preliminary study of the rheological properties of the sandstone of an engineering project is made and the experimental results of rheological deformation are shown .The ultimate loading capacities and long-term strength indices at different deformation stages are primarily determined .It is pointed out that due to the obvious relationship between the flow rate and the load ,which is (?u (t) )/?r≠0 along the radial direction of the sample ,as shown by this test ,additional flow shear stress may be developed within the material .Although this shear stress may be very small in magnitude ,it can still be regarded as a simple example of stress redistribution caused by the flow in the material
