Abstract: This paper aims to study the development and distribution features of the force and earth pressure of cantilever fender pile. Data used in this paper are obtained from the field experiment on the construction site of Xining railway station; and an analysis is carried out on the basis of these data. The behavior of cantilever fender pile under different excavations and the development of internal force are presented. Experimental data obtained from the field test are different from the theoretical values, so it is necessary and feasible to adjust and optimize the reinforcement, concrete design and embedment depth. Strategies for optimization are put forward. The experimental earth pressure is less than the Rankine pressure of the classical earth pressure theory. Results of this paper can effectively optimize the pile design, and can also provide monitoring and controlling for the force and deformation of supporting structure in soft rock pit excavation.

Key words: cantilever pile, pile internal force, optimization, earth pressure
