Abstract: The solution of slip line for evaluating the ultimate load influenced by anisotropic damage is derived under plane strain condition. The field of slip line is drawn. Finally, the influence of anisotropic damage on bearing capacity of shallow foundation is studied. With isotropic consolidation clay, bearing capacity factor Nq reduces with the increase in damage accumulation, until it may be a minimum value.
