Experimental study on improving filled sand above soft soil with DC

Abstract: By monitoring the pore-water pressure in mucky soft soil during dynamic compaction (DC), the laws of the increment and the dissipation of pore water pressure and the variation of pore water pressure with number of passes and lateral distance are studied. In terms of the results of SCPT after DC, the mechanism of improving filled sand above soft soil with DC is analyzed. In addition, effective depth of influence and number of drops per impact point are discussed.
