Study on fuzzy random reliability analysis for block stability in caved area

Abstract: Based on introduction to various methods of reliability analysis for block stability, fuzzy and random characteristics of block stability in caved area are analyzed. The method of fuzzy random reliability analysis and the formula of fuzzy probability measures for block stability are presented based on block theory and fuzzy measures theory. Furthermore, the method has been applied to analyze the block stability of roof in a caved area of Suichang Gold Mine in Zhejiang Province. Results show that the block tends to slide and safe measures should be taken before recovery of residue pillars at the caved area.
