Criterion of entropy catastrophe of stability of surrounding rock

Abstract: Surrounding rock of underground engineering has high nonlinear characteristics, so its mechanical behaviors can be studied and predicted by nonlinear theories. Research of stability of surrounding rock with dissipative structure and catastrophe theory helps to unveil procedures and causes of rock failure and to develop a method of solving stability of surrounding rock .
