Abstract: Creep is an important property of geosynthetics for its application in any permanent reinforced structures. The principles and effect factors of creep, testing equipments and operating procedures, time-temperature superposition and stepped isothermal method for decreasing the lasting time of creep test and a comparison of different cords are presented. Meanwhile, dynamic creep test, creep tests of geoform and geosynthetics clay liners and combined analysis of installation damage and creep are briefly introduced. Finally, some suggestions about research on creep of geosynthetics are given.

Key words: creep, test, geosynthetics
