Abstract: The importance and the monitoring measurement method of the highway tunnels are described. The principle and the process of intelligent back analysis are systematically expatiated. Through the real tunnel project, the intelligent back analysis of tunnel displacements is proved to be accurate and feasible; and it has important significances for the stability evaluation of tunnel adjacent rock and intelligent construction.

Key words: highway tunnel, displacement back analysis, stability
