Model test study of tunnel mechanical characteristics under plane charge explosion

Abstract: Through the model test of blast-resistance structure of the tunnel, the deformation behaviour of the surrounding rock and lining structure of the tunnel is studied. The principle and method of plane charge explosion model test is introduced. Based on the test results, the stress peak value distribution characteristics around the tunnel under the design load and overload conditions are analyzed. The deformation behaviours of surrounding rock under the above two conditions are put forward. Contrast analysis is carried out in several aspects, including relative displacement between arch crown and tunnel floor, strain peak value around the tunnel wall, variation of strain on the tunnel wall with time, etc. Test results show that the supporting structure of lining can improve the blast-resistance ability of the tunnel efficiently. It is an important technical method to improve the resistance grade of the tunnel.
