Application of mixed genetic-simulated annealing algorithms to slope stability analysis

Abstract: A methodology of most dangerous sliding surface search and slope stability analysis is proposed by combining mixed genetic-simulated annealing algorithms with Sweden arc method. Some key problems such as the mathematical model building up, the process constituting, the parameters selecting etc. are discussed. An engineering example is studied; and the results show the validity of the proposed method.
