Seepage and safety analysis as well as reinforcement of soil dam of Xianling Reservoir

Abstract: Based on geological information of the soil dam of the Xianling reservoir in Hunan Province, the seepage of the dam is calculated by FEM and the leakage as well as the percolation failure problem are discussed firstly; then the measures to reinforce the dam are proposed and approved to be reasonable and safety; the methods and conclusions can be valuable for the future safety identification, reinforcement as well as design, construction and management of soil dams.
