Analysis Calculation for the Settlement of Ground with Concrete Platform
Shu Zhiqin
. 1990, 11 (1):  1-10.
Abstract ( 153 )   PDF (480KB) ( 192 )
Based on the geological information of a sea region and physical and mechanical properties of foundation soil there, an analysis calculation is made for the settlement of ground with concrete platform. The calculation method used in this paper is the same as that used widely in China and in the world.

A Consolidation Theory on Co-moving System and Its Variation Principle
Zhu Hao ;Yuan Jianxin
. 1990, 11 (1):  11-17.
Abstract ( 269 )   PDF (327KB) ( 230 )
A theory of three dimensional finite consolidation is established on co-moving system with Chen’s definition of strain, and the limitation of small deformation in classical consolidation theory is given up. The variation principle of energy rete and its generalized one in finite consolidation theory are proved in this paper.

Strain Softening Model of Rock Material and Associated Finite Element Analysis
Yan Jinan; Zhang Xianhong;
. 1990, 11 (1):  19-27.
Abstract ( 192 )   PDF (509KB) ( 342 )
Based on the stress-strain relationship and the properties of peak strength, residual strength, and brittleness of rock material, a perfect strain-softening model and related loading criteria are proposed by using the theory of elasto-plasticity. The physical concepts of this model are very clear with simple parameters, which is convenient for numerical analysis including finite element analysis.

Ramming Reinforcement for the Ground Filled with Miscellaneous Soil, City’s Rubbish, in Tianjin Malleable Steel Plant
Zuo Mingqi ;Mao Hongyuan;
. 1990, 11 (1):  29-40.
Abstract ( 224 )   PDF (1288KB) ( 186 )
Practical experience to reinforce the ground filled with city’s rubbish is presented in this paper. The method of inspect ramming reinforcement is discussed. With this experience, a new way is found to make buildings on the ground filled with city’s rubbish, which can save farmland and useful sites for other usage.

Shearing Dilatency and Isostatic Deformity of Anisotropic Linear Elastic Material Chen Shouyi
Chen Shouyi
. 1990, 11 (1):  41-50.
Abstract ( 229 )   PDF (472KB) ( 429 )
With the algebratical calculation of matrix for general expression of stress-strain relationship of anisotropic linear elastic material, it is shown that the stress-strain behavior for this kind of material depends not only upon mechanical properties of material, but also upon geometric relation between the action direction of deviator stresses and the physical symmetric planes of material. It is demonstrated that global stress tensor causes not deformity, but also volume change. The special dilatency rule for anisotropic linear elastic material is shown more clearly with calculation of a simple example.

A New Program Structure of Independent Modules
Wang Kejun
. 1990, 11 (1):  51-55.
Abstract ( 178 )   PDF (392KB) ( 322 )
A new program structure is given in this paper. In the new structure, a large scale computing program is broken down into a number of independent modules. Information is transmitted among different modules by data-base, so that all the modules can be developed, compiled, and especially suitable for small computers where a number of tasks can be done subsequently on small proportion or independently in several microcomputers at the same time. It is easy to develop, understand, and use program to solve practical problems with this kind of program structure.

Xu Changwei
. 1990, 11 (1):  57-60.
Abstract ( 203 )   PDF (308KB) ( 192 )
A geological investigation is made for the mud-rock flow of Kuayanzigou. The reason to cause mud-rock flow there is analyzed preliminarily, and a comprehensive protection against it is proposed.

Stability Study of Dangerous Rock Masses at Lianziya
. 1990, 11 (1):  61-73.
Abstract ( 180 )   PDF (712KB) ( 208 )
Since 1967, the study of stability on the dangerous rock masses of Lianziya has been made by our institute. The study includes the relative displacement monitoring of rift, testing study, and estimation of stability, etc. all that are brief reviewed in this paper. The test principle and method of long-term relative displacement monitoring of rift at Lianziya are proposed. The monitoring programs are established, and the monitoring results are analyzed with a conclusions given. The principle and method of testing study into rock and soil media are described, and various mechanical indices are obtained. The stability is evaluated for the dangerous rock masses at Lianziya and the slope at Houziling, according to the material from study.

Development of Capacitive Displacement Transducer
Xie Ye
. 1990, 11 (1):  83-91.
Abstract ( 223 )   PDF (485KB) ( 330 )
The effects of stray parameters mainly from connecting cables on balance equation and sensitivity of bridge are discussed in this paper. It is possible to remove the effects of stray parameters, to a great extent, with a transformer-ratio-bridge adaptable to three terminal measurements. The undefinition of capacitance between two conductors without complete surrounding each other may be eliminated with a three terminal capacitor introduced. Therefore, it is possible to measure small variation of transducer capacity with a transformer-ratio-bridge, if a capacitive transducer is made with three terminal construction. A capacitive displacement transducer, transformer-ratio-bridge, and associated electronic circuit are developed according to this theory. It is shown by testing that a small variation down to 10-3 Pf of capacitance can be measured at 100m long cables, when the carrier frequency is 100KHz. It is also possible to make accuracy measurement at linger cables.
