3D-FEM research on settlement of earth-fill bridge-slope on the soft clay basement after construction

Abstract: The elasto-visco-plastic constitution has been employed for 3D-FEM programming of soft saturated clay in Shanghai. The program has also been applied to predicting the settlement of earth-fill bridge-slope on the soft clay basement after construction .The comparison between the predicted and measured values have proved that the constitution is reliable.
