Steady-state vibration analysis of layered saturated soils under axisymmetric cyclic loading

Abstract: Based on the Biot’s dynamic consolidation equations, by means of Hankel transform and transfer matrix method, the integral solutions of stress and displacement for axisymmetric harmonic excitations were derived. In the study of layered soil with subjacent rock-stratum, influence of the echoes generated by the boundary and interfaces of the soils was revealed and analyzed.Finally, the effects of the depth of the soil and the loading frequency on the results were also studied.
